Known locally as “the FREX,” this exhibition and agricultural fair has been pulling into town for more than 180 years. It’s held on the Exhibition Grounds at 361 Smythe Street.
Young and old alike love the midway. There are gentle rides for the little ones and not-so-gentle rides for those who like big thrills!
The FREX boasts a couple of “biggest” events – it has the biggest draft-horse show and the biggest agricultural exhibition in the province. There’s also a provincial cattle show, a petting zoo, daily stage shows, handcrafts and home economics judging, and harness racing throughout the week.
Oh, and one more thing. It wouldn’t be the FREX without Dippy Dogs, cooked up every year by a local service club.
