Reportedly built as the oldest of three homes in a row for the daughters of businessman James S. Neill who lived across the street, this heavily embellished home, located at 278/280 Church Street in Fredericton, was built sometime between 1882 and 1888 as it shows on 1888 fire insurance map of Fredericton but not on the 1882 birds-eye-view lithograph print of the city.
The house, with its exterior “i” paneling pattern on the second storey is unique in the City, however a mirror-image twin to this house exists in Sackville, New Brunswick.
