Briggs & Little This is the oldest woolen mill in Canada, having operated from this very location for over 150 years. It has been rebuilt four times because of fire, yet still it stands as a testament to quality and tradition. At Briggs & Little you get to see the entire process from start to finish. W.W.E. Smith’s Food Market William Walter Embleton1 Smith, born 20 Apr 1839 in Alnwick, England; died 8 Feb 1886 in Harvey. William opened and operated a general store in the Village of Harvey, York Co, NB in 1869, shortly after his marriage. This store remained in the family for three generations -- being sold to unrelated Smiths in the early 1980's. The store remains in operation under the name of the founder, W. W. E. Smith.
