This year, MyNewBrunswick is doing something a little different for the holidays. Jack Fenety, a true New Brunswick broadcast legend, hosted the beloved morning radio show “Fact and Fancy” on CFNB (Radio Atlantic) for an incredible 41 years—an astounding 12,818 episodes.
Jack had a deep love for Christmas and began playing holiday music as soon as December arrived. In 1978, I had the honour of producing a special holiday program for him. “The Sounds of Christmas“ was a one-hour blend of festive songs, classic carols, and a few of Jack’s favourite Christmas poems.
Each year, Jack welcomed his listeners to sit back, relax, and enjoy a nostalgic trip through 90s radio with The Sounds of Christmas. With this week’s post, we invite you to do the same. Merry Christmas from Larry, Steve & Danny theDog. The MyNewBrunswick team.
